Spinal Decompression Therapy
River City Chiropractic Clinic, LLC is proud to offer Spinal decompression therapy for the treatment of back and neck pain. Spinal decompression therapy is an exciting FDA-approved, non-surgical and drug-free technology that is proven effective for, but not limited to, herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease and pinched nerves. Spinal decompression utilizes computerized targeted traction that calculates the angle-of-pull, and gently seperates the spine at the targeted disc level. This creates a vacuum effect inside the disc, retracting the herniated or bulging part of the disc back to the center. This allows the disc to heal, as well as removing pressure from the irritated spinal nerve.
Dr. Murry strives for the best treatment outcomes for his patients. This is why he has undergone post-graduate training to become certified in spinal decompression therapy. This special training gives him the expertise to create specific treatment protocols for your individual condition, ensuring better results.

Phase 1 consists of a 10 minute treatment of electical muscle stimulation and moist heat. By pre-treating prior to beginning Decompression, the patient benefits from relaxation of muscle spasms, and relief of minor muscle and joint aches.

Phase 2 consists of targeted decompression to the affected intervertebral discs. This takes pressure off of the discs, bone structures, and nerves which increases the flow of blood and nutrients to the discs and promotes healing. Spinal decompression therapy has been cleared by the FDA to relieve pain associated with herniated discs, protruding discs, posterior facet syndrome, and sciatica.
Phase 3 consists of core strengthening exercises. Once pain has diminished, it is recommended that the patient begins an exercise program to strenghten supportive core muscles and improve flexibility. Many treatments for back and neck pain omit this crucial step. By stretching and strengthening the supportive muscles through exercise, you improve your body's flexibility and strength, and lessen chances for re-injury in the future.

Testimonials:
“ I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck. I had constant pain in my neck and down my left arm that was unbearable. I was scheduled for steroid injections in my spine and was told that if they didn’t work, I might need surgery. I decided to go see Dr. Murry first. My pain was much better after the first spinal decompression treatment. I canceled my appointment for the injections 2 weeks later because my pain was gone and it hasn’t come back since. Thanks Doc!” Christopher Barnett- Vicksburg
"I have been suffering with neck and shoulder pain for years. I recently began having numbness in my arms and hands. I saw an orthopedic surgeon who recommended surgery for a degenerated disc in my neck. I was prepared to have surgery on my neck, since it seemed my only option. Thankfully I decided to try spinal decompression first. My symptoms were gone after just a couple weeks of treatment." Cindy Vanderberry- Vicksburg
